I graduated with a BSc. (Hons) in Biotechnology in 2003 and have worked in the Research and Diagnostics Industry for over 5 years. Having had an interest in complementary therapies for a number of years and experienced first-hand the benefits of these therapies I decided to study
Reflexology.
In 2004 I began a diploma in Reflexology with the Misneach School of Reflexology (an accredited school of the Irish Reflexologists Institute) taught by Aine Walsh. I found this course to be an extremely satisfying and rewarding experience, and further deepened my interest in complementary therapies.
I have completed further studies in
Bach Remedies and post-graduate workshops in
‘Language of the Feet’ and
‘The Body Has A Lot To Say’ with Chris Stormer of the Universal Health and Healing Academy.
I have also completed post-graduate studies in
Reflexology in Pregnancy and Childbirth so that I can give the best possible care to my client during this special time in her life.
I am a fully trained and insured Reflexologist and member of the Irish Reflexologist’s Institute. As a member of the I.R.I. a high standard of practice is assured and continuous professional development is supported and encouraged.
In 2008 I trained as an
Infant Massage instructor and am a member of Infant Massage Ireland. This is a wonderful therapy that is a delight to train in and work with mothers and their babies.
I have also completed my
Touch for Health Kinesiology modules 1-4 and am finding it a very effective and interesting therapy to practice.
I am currently learning
EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique, which is a powerful new discovery that combines two well established sciences so you can benefit from both at the same time: Mind Body Medicine and Acupuncture (without needles).
In 2009 I became a full-time Complementary Therapist which I am enjoying immensely. I also work part-time in a Healing Harvest Health Food Shop and am learning lots about how nutrition plays such a vital role in our well-being and the wonderful healing potential of plants and herbs.
I enjoy practicing Yoga and Meditation which helps to keep me in check mentally and physically!
I believe that everyone has the capacity to bring about healing in their own lives on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level, given the appropriate time and space.
I treat each client that comes to me with the utmost respect and offer a confidential and listening ear.
Having spent years reading and researching various therapies and techniques I will provide my clients with any information that I think will be of use to them or answer any questions they may have in relation to Complementary Therapies.
