What Happens During A Reflexology Treatment?
A reflexology treatment begins with the practitioner welcoming the client into the room. A brief and strictly confidential medical and lifestyle history is taken to help assess the client from a holistic point of view. Any medication that the client is on will be noted to ensure no contraindications. The practitioner will explain what reflexology is and answer any questions or concerns that the client may have

The client remains fully clothed during the treatment, just removing his/her shoes and socks. The practitioner will ensure that the client is comfortable before beginning the treatment.

A reflexology treatment generally lasts about 45-50 minutes and afterwards the client is given a drink of water and a few minutes to relax before having to get up.

How Will I Feel After A Treatment?
As everyone reacts differently to a reflexology treatment it is difficult to say how a person will feel after a treatment but generally most people feel very relaxed. A client may feel slightly tired after a treatment- this may be due the body ridding itself of excess toxins. Drinking water after the treatment helps to flush out toxins quickly and effectively from the body. Alternatively many people feel energised after a treatment and tiredness is generally a symptom people will only have after the first couple of treatments. More frequent urination and bowel movements can also be noticed after a treatment, but not so much that this will alarm the client.
